Who You Are
You are an experienced Policy Planner with a strong background in drafting site allocation policies for housing and employment sites. You have successfully navigated a Local Plan through Regulation 19 processes and examinations. Teamwork and collaboration come naturally to you, enabling efficient work with various Council departments. You are flexible and can manage your time working both onsite and remotely, and you hold a full driving licence for site visits.
What the Job Involves
The role involves leading the drafting of site allocation policies for selected housing and employment sites for the Regulation 19 Local Plan. You will assist in reviewing Strategic Policies and other necessary documents required for a Reg 19 consultation. The position is designed to support Swale's ambitious deadline to submit their Local Plan by December, working closely with officers in Place Services and other Council departments ensuring the policies are applicable and efficient.
