What the Job Involves

As the Interim Director of Housing Standards, Assets & Investment, you will provide strategic leadership focused on housing standards, asset management, compliance, and investment. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the council's strategic initiatives for housing standards and investments
• Overseeing building and fire safety, regulatory compliance, and statutory requirements
• Managing the development and implementation of housing asset strategies
• Steering major repairs, maintenance, and mechanical/electrical services
• Developing the net zero carbon roadmap for the housing estate
• Driving value through procurement, contract management, and service delivery
• Embedding data-led quality improvements and fostering organizational learning
• Ensuring resident involvement in service design, delivery, and evaluation
