What the job involves
This role within the Temporary Accommodation (TA) placements team involves supporting residents into temporary accommodation. You will ensure Camden allocates suitable emergency and temporary accommodation in line with housing legislation. Responsibilities include providing housing advice, managing the allocation of temporary housing, assessing housing needs, and collaborating with other teams for better housing outcomes.
Skills
- Proactive in preventing issues and supporting residents early
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Proficient with data, digital, and systems including relevant software
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Understanding of safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding responsibilities
- Knowledge of housing legislation and challenges faced by homeless households
- Experience in customer-facing roles, especially with vulnerable people
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good numeracy and basic accounting skills
