What the Job Involves
The role of Housing Solutions Assistant involves undertaking a training program to manage and deliver statutory housing investigations and assessments for households approaching the council with housing needs. The position focuses on preventing homelessness through advising and providing housing solutions in accordance with relevant legislation, such as the Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. This position requires the ability to handle complex cases, develop personalized housing plans, and liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders to secure sustainable accommodation solutions. Candidates will ensure accurate records and provide advice on housing options, maintaining compliance with all statutory requirements.
