Job Title: Fleet Driver
Who You Are
You are an experienced driver with a full, endorsement-free driving licence (category D/D1/D1 (101)) and at least 4 years of driving experience. You have training in manual handling, emergency first aid, and wheelchair securing. You are self-motivated, able to work without close supervision, and committed to excellent customer care. You have experience transporting passengers, including vulnerable individuals, and work well both independently and as part of a team. You are committed to creating a safe environment for both customers and staff and have the ability to handle tight schedules.
What the Job Involves
As a Fleet Driver, you will perform a variety of specialist passenger transport functions within Fleet Operations. This includes the safe transportation of all passengers, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and compliance with safety practices, and addressing passengers’ general welfare and safety needs. You will be responsible for vehicle operation and maintenance, collecting fares, ensuring compliance with driver hours regulations, and operating communication systems. You will also support Day Services management and take part in emergency or urgent driving duties.
