Who You Are
You are a suitably qualified professional holding a Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health & Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Registered Management) Wales & NI and registered with Social Care Wales. You possess significant experience in a Residential Child Care setting at a management level, and are driven by a 'can do' attitude with effective management techniques. Your positive outlook and ability to implement change and lead service development set you apart. You excel in communication, negotiation, and mediation, and are ready to work flexible hours, providing on-call cover outside of office hours. A full valid driving license and sole use of a vehicle are necessary.
What the Job Involves
This role involves leading one of Cardiff Council Children’s Services’ established Children’s Homes. You will be responsible for ensuring that the settings meet all regulatory standards to provide excellent quality care to children and young people for up to 12 weeks. Your focus will be on understanding their needs and securing appropriate pathways or placements. You will be supported by multi-professional teams working from a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach. This is an opportunity to innovate and place individuals at the heart of our work.
