Who You Are
We are looking for a confident, independent, and effective Deputy Manager to join our new Children’s Home in Cardiff. You should have proven experience at a senior level working with young people within a residential childcare environment. You hold a relevant qualification meeting the criteria for Social Care Wales registration and a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children and Young People). Excellent communication and organization skills are essential.
What the Job Involves
As a Deputy Officer in Charge, you will play a crucial role in managing the home, ensuring it meets all regulatory standards and provides top-quality care. You will be responsible for understanding the needs of children and young people, offering them a supportive environment for up to 12 weeks. Key responsibilities include ensuring a sensitive service for young people, empowering them, building positive relationships with families and communities, maintaining staff competence, managing budgets, and coordinating meetings.
