We are seeking caring and reliable individuals who enjoy working with children and young people. Experience with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is a significant advantage. This role is ideal for those who are returning to work after a break or are partially retired, and looking for a rewarding part-time position during term time. It provides an excellent opportunity for those interested in gaining experience in the educational sector.
What the Job Involves
The role involves assisting children and young people, many with additional needs, to travel safely to and from school or college. You will support students during their journeys, ensuring their safety and comfort. This includes stepping in to cover for unavailable Passenger Assistants and working closely with drivers and schools to ensure each journey is smooth and stress-free. Cover is needed Monday to Friday, typically between 07:00–10:00 and 14:00–17:00. The position is term-time only, and hours may vary based on routes and student schedules.
