Who You Are
You are a dedicated, empathetic, and skilled Social Worker who is committed to improving the lives of vulnerable adults. You have a good educational background, a degree in Social Work, and active registration with Social Care Wales. You are experienced in managing complex caseloads and have a solid understanding of safeguarding practices, relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. You are proactive, committed to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice, and possess a non-judgemental, caring attitude. You demonstrate strong advocacy skills and are able to work collaboratively within a team, effectively utilizing information technology systems. A full valid driving license is required, and proficiency in Welsh or other community languages is advantageous.
What the Job Involves
As a Social Worker, you will assist individuals in overcoming major life challenges, enhancing their independence and coping skills. You will assess, plan, and review services for a specific client group within statutory frameworks, safeguarding vulnerable adults. Your role will involve supporting individuals in making informed decisions, conducting needs assessments, managing caseloads, and participating in decision-making forums. You will provide high-quality services and contribute to service outcome identification, working flexibly across various locations as necessary.
