Who You Are
We are seeking a dedicated arboricultural professional to join our expanding tree service team. You should be experienced in urban tree management, inspections, and have a sound understanding of tree-related legislation. Excellent communication skills are vital for engaging with a variety of stakeholders, including Council officers, Developers, and Community groups. We're looking for someone with a positive outlook and a strong personal drive to learn and grow within our team. Additionally, we are also considering candidates for an Assistant role, who will work under the guidance of an experienced Arboriculture Officer.
What the Job Involves
As part of our team of arboriculture officers, you will lead the management and inspection of the Council's tree stock, focusing on risk management and specialist arboricultural advice. You'll issue work orders to Contractors and the In-house tree service and take on broader responsibilities that include financial management, general administration, and contract management. The Assistant role will involve supporting the Arborist with less accountability, under the supervision of an experienced officer.
